The 3 or 4 year contract thing is a mistake IMO. From Red News, talk amongst United based hacks is Hargreaves has passed his medical, and will sign a five (not four) year deal.

And as for him going away for a week without signing, no it doesn't seem that fishy to me. It can all be agreed beforehand and I don't think he can officially put pen to paper until July anyway. Mind you, you'd think Utd might make some sort of comment but Gill's hardly been around in recent weeks. Or so I'm told.

I don't like Owen Hargreaves. I thought his family lived in Bolton anyway the way he's been crapping on for the last 12 months. If I were Bayern I'd make the @#%&! sign for the Ontario Ladyboys...

What a #@&%!.

he could have signed it, coming into effect July 1st. i think there are problems, whether it's money (ie. the glazers have £#%&! all), injury or the glazers trying to flog the club, god only knows. only utd can make hard work of a done deal. i doubt very much that Hargreaves will sign anything next week. it doesn't make any sense at all. nft.

I wouldn't worry about it. Speculate by all means but it's a waste of time and it'll only give you an ulcer.

The BBC article mentions a knee injury, maybe there is a medical hold up.

what can i say, i'm a sceptic. he was going to sign last week, he was going to sign today, but he's left Manchester without signing anything. gone to Canada and should be back next week. sounds a bit Ruddish (Ruud) to me. absolute %@#$&!s. Utd had to say something didn't they, everyone was expecting him to sign today. nft.
