Speaking to BBC Sport's Guillem Balague on Monday, Mbappe has not ruled out a move to Real later in his career.

"You never know what can happen in the future," he said.

"I give up to think about the future, I only think about the present and the present is I signed a new contract for three years more at Paris St-Germain."

Asked if signing the contract meant the Real Madrid dream was over, Mbappe said: "Never over."

Got a feeling the 'project they've sold him on involves hoovering up half a dozen of the best players in Europe. Never understood why they make such huge signings and play them alongside the likes of Herrera. Maybe putting an end to that?

Then again, wonder if he's agreed to sign so that they don't lose him on a free and therefore look even more stupid than they do every season after not wining the CL? Pay him a fortune for a season and then let him go.

The counter to that argument though is that surely PSG don't care about sell-on fees, and Madrid may not be as keen next season.

Madrid will buy him for £100m+ with a year left imo.

They’re refusing to pay Salah £500k p/w so no way they’ll compete with PSG to give him £1m per week, £300m signing on bonus, the keys to Anfield, the right to rename the club “Kylian FC” and the right to borrow any of his teammates wives for the night as and when he feels like it.
