Players signing for us are gambling on the chance of being part of the revival, restoring a great to former glory and all that comes with it.

Sticking with PSG in a farmers league that offers little to no resistance because they’ll bow to your every whim is a bit sad.

He’ll be off to Madrid for nowt at the end of this extension, which will probably only be 2 or 3 years.

PSG couldn't really win with this one.

It would be extremely embarrassing (and damaging) if they couldn't even keep hold of a talented French player. Especially after Messi has flopped. It would take any sort of credibility they had away.

The only way they could keep him was to give him ludicrous money. Again, losing credibility.

Either way they were going to look stupid. What a shame.

No. Completely different.

But it does put an end to this myth that we will never sign great played because we’re a bit shit.

How much is he on right now? Must have offered him double, minimum.

Word was his potential Madrid deal was the equivalent of £800k a week, with signing on fees etc. for 5 years. PSG must be dropping ridiculously large stacks of cash on him.

Yep. Had the opportunity to give two fingers to oil state clubs and bottled it.

3 year deal apparently. He's only 23 so as above, maybe he'll see out at least 2 of them then go to Madrid still very much a young player. If they still want the grasping greedy bastard that is.

PSG = laughing stock. He won’t be far off a billionaire by the time he lands in Madrid at 26

Ffs and I thought City were a joke.

I know we all like to stick the boot into City regarding FFP, but how in god's name have PSG never been investigated for any of this?

They play in a tinpot league that attracts £#%&! all tv and sponsorship money, how exactly are they justifying all this?
