He was garbage last night. He plays like an adult playing against kids. After years of being able to easily keep the ball away from them, the kids are now getting bigger and it's not as easy for him anymore. Blowing out of his arse after about 15 minutes last night.

Think The Scottish Player needs to play Thursday in place of Matic. Not that he's been bad but needs a rest.

Pogba had an off game but as mentioned he's the least of the worries at the minute. Getting rid of Lindelof needs to be the managers top priority and replace him with someone much less turd. Not going to hang De Gea out to dry as he's been absolutely immense for United however the clocks ticking.

Here we go.

The soft excuses:

‘Bit leggy’
‘But.....but he’s been out for ages’ (ignoring the fact that everyone has)
‘Something about BLM’

He made us concede a goal because he thinks he’s got all the time in the world when he’s got the ball in our half. He does it all the time - what’s wrong with him the thick @#%&!.

De Gea is awful and cost us the 2nd. Pogba cost us the first and was awful too.

He was tired?
What minute did we concede the goal he messed up on?

His first poor performance since Project Restart, but he wasn't as bad as some of the others, such as Bruno, Greenwood, Wan Bissaka, and particularly Matic, who looked awful. Just an off-day for the entire side, and aside from Martial, the whole team were off.

I blame the first goal on De Gea more than Pogba. Yes, Pogba dawdled, but why the £#%&! is De Gea pinging that ball into him when Southampton have been pressing like maniacs in the middle of the pitch? Hoof it upfield, ffs, and relieve the pressure.

As soon as United worked out that we needed to go down the sides, then get it into Pogba in a more advanced position, we started to dominate the first half, and scored 2 goals. Hopefully a big lesson for the team in the need to control and kill off a game, particularly at home, as 2-1 is the most dangerous scoreline in football.

Love it.

And fair points made. Was a hospital pass from De Gea.

The worrying thing is how utterly shit the midfield was when he went off, considering it wasn't particularly good with him in there.

We're desperate for more quality, genuine options to replace Bruno, Pogba and Matic.
To be fair to The Scottish Player and Fred, they haven’t really had a chance to play themselves back into form since the league resumed. At various point this season they’ve both done very well, but both looked off the pace when they came on.

I think Fred will come in on Thursday.

He seems to be the main one he trusts outside that first 11 right now.

Williams will be outside of the mandatory concussion window by then. 48 hours I believe.

this is somewhat tangential to the thread, unless the answer is pogba. and, if the answer is pogba, the question can only have been "fred or pogba?"

I expect williams to man the £#%&! up after a couple of stitches. or shaw to make a full recovery. but we've got dalot, bailly, timmeh, laird, mengi, pereira (and any of them could play on the right, with wan-b switched to the left... although I'd have him up against zaha).

we could play 3-5-2.

#pray4brandon

£#%&! me, that southampton game was exactly the kind of game in which pogba needed to step up if he wants to be taken seriously, the dopey £#%&!ing @#%&!.

The cut isn’t that big, apparently, just a bleeder. Should be fine. Shaw having a scan but expected to be ok too.

Still got Dalot as well.

He needs upgrading badly, and we need a proper player in that holding role who can dictate the tempo of a game, and control the midfield over 90 mins; both were painfully lacking yesterday with Matic, as United didn't seem to have any semblance of control, as the game drifted towards the inevitable Southampton equaliser.

Get Ruben Neves in this summer, ffs.

Rashford played there for nearly 3 years under Mourinho, surely he can do a shift?
