Wow - working hard in your 2nd game at OT and scoring again, a decent goal at that and letting it go to your head in front of 70k fans - Daniel you re a very naughty little boy.
And Martial did what yesterday? And Pogba? And Rashford? And Linguard? And The Scottish Player? But that’s it slate the least experienced new boy. #@&%!s |

Maguire for that first goal is pretty awful defending as well. Lindelöf to little surprise is weak and soft going for a header but the lack of anticipation of danger from Maguire has to be alarming. The only threat was the run from Ayew and Slab just observed it happening without reacting, basic defending to drop to cover. This CB partnership looks worryingly reliant on the high press giving them an arm chair ride because they have looked far from secure under the little pressure we have had to endure so far.
Still early days for them to be fair. |

I have the concern that Maguire looks more commanding than he actually is, his composure on the ball elevating the perception of his actual defending. Lindelöf I just don't rate yet, far from convinced he is better than the reviled Smalling and Jones. |

any centre half can lose a header (linde is shit in the air, though). both wan-b and maguire should have been way goal side of him. and there is no excuse... age, newness to the team, etc. it is £#%&!ing basic defending.
lucky for them, they have both played well generally, because that was a shocker. |

Sane at old trafford last season and chelsea at home last season are just a couple of high profile mistakes i can remember. he's a goalkeeper who relies primarily on his reflexes and if those are starting to go then you have to ask what else is he good at? He's not great with his distribution, he doesn't command his area or come off his line well to cover the defenders. He's bang average at saving pens and free kicks. He's been poor for at least 18 months. |
