I agree with it all except Gerrard. Why does he always get in teams of the year no matter what

pretty fair but again I must ask, How the £#%&! is Gerrard in anyones team of the season? I wouldn't say he's had a nightmare season but Carrick has had a better season

Oh yeah, hang on. Fabregas was £#%&! too and I don't rate Mascherano either. What a load of shit

You can't really compare Carrick to Gerrard, they're at different ends of the pitch.

Essien has been the best central midfielder this season.

If you read it its as if hes picked it as a team he would like to have instead of players whove played the best.

Whalefish's team of the season:

Edwin

Wes
Rio
Vidic
Evra

Young
Carrick
Anderson
Ronaldo

Tevez
Rooney

I'm taking the piss fwiw.

Totally different styles for sure but if you're picking a team of the season then i'd let Carrick fill one of the central midfield positions

If Gerrard played 1 game and then got injured he would still be in the team of the season.

Better than Andy Gray's team

Essien ahead of Mascherano for me.

Would hardly say Gerrard has had a nightmare season though. 20 goals and 20 assists. He hasn't been remarkable, but you can't really argue with those figures.

From Hansen's line up it is clear that he is able to appreciate United's football in spite of his allegiance to Liverpool.

Hansen, a Liverpool legend who is less ABU than @#%&!s like Alan Green, Tyler, Gray.

Even Souness and Redknapp are more inclined to give us credit than those @#%&!s listed.

I thought that until recently when he started trotting out the old lines about not getting penalties at Old Trafford and blah, blah, blah.

Gerrards got 22 goals in all comps this season.

If either Scholes or Carrick racked that tally up, you'd be fuming if either got left out.

I know Rooney is not quite firing on all cylinder but the lad is so important to us and performs in the sort of games where Ronaldo is mia.

Nice to see him being recognised by a few of the pundits.
