Hitchen's book on this is good.

But it is also depressing as it shows they'll never go away.

I don't agree with it, but talk about thuggery and murder etc. is just mental - as it won't ever happen and makes the republican cause seem loopy.

see my previous point.

it's like a f***ing weed. it's deep in to the ground.

I work with a fair few of them there irish catholics - those dippy f***ers were crying at the royal wedding when Harry married the american.

i mean it's not even our royal family, let alone their royal family. but they garner serious respect and fear and admiration.

as the mighty hitch said in his book (paraphrasing): it's not a family of english or british blood installed by god. it's just a mafia of people, living a life of pomp, ceremony, drugs, cash and material goods, doing what they want with impunity. they're no better than gangs in f***ing Ordsall or Weaste.

it's deep rooted shit, when you look at it in terms of the law of the land and also in terms of what the public feel. it's stockholm syndrome.

it's why i envy the yanks, they're all up for facebooking the pics outside of the palace, as a stamp of a good holiday in blighty, but they wouldn't have that shit over there, as one american said, "we sailed away from that dungeons an dragons shit a long time ago..."

Where did I say I wanted a communist state?
Youíre a socialist arenít you? Son of a communist? You want to kill the monarchy and tories and, presumably, to overthrow the state? Itís not necessary to state it explicitly but we know what you are.

To an extent, but their "royalty" is arguably people like Trump instead.

What is my "agenda" then?

American "royalty" is arguably celebrities, Trump was a celebrity long before entering politics. Indeed he couldn't have made an impact without it.

Seriously, is this even controversial??

your agenda is way left of centre.

trump isn't royalty.

he could still be technically impeached in f***ing november.
if he isn't he could still be ousted in a few years time.

he's the president of a republic, his predecessor was a black immigrant with politics which were diametrically opposed to trumps... and we could end up with someone equally different to trump getting in next.

how is that even remotely similar to our royal family.

ps corbyn is a p****.

I didn't vote for him back in 2015, he will be gone once somebody decent is in place to take over.

(which might not be long, if mandatory reselection gets passed at conference)

you've not addressed my points.

how can the USA's administration be compared to the mob we have in "power"?

The USA even separated church from state.

I'm not in favour of our monarchy btw, I haven't "answered your points" because I largely agree with them.

Gareth Southgate is unlikely to get a knighthood, apparently because he dodges his tax.
