Still far slower than using cash.

I have done part-time bar work for years and we all prefer cash, cards are a complete pain in the arse.

Surely contactless is quicker. They don't have to get change etc.

Do they not have contactless payment in Manchester? Much faster than cash.

No. Good bar staff can have your change sorted in seconds, using contactless you have to ring it into the till anyway but you have the added ball-ache of waiting on the machine printing a receipt.

Plus loads of peoples cards are damaged and don't work so you end up using chip and pin. Every barperson I work with hates the things.

My own personal hate is people who stand in front of the newspapers in the garage in the morning reading all the headlines.

Either buy one or f*** off mate.

I pay by card for everything...

i don't like withdrawing cash. goes too quickly.

Then again I doubt I would buy the rounds I do (used to) paying actual money.

that's reminded me of another:

anti-perspirants that boast of 24hr or 48hr protection. which scruffy bastards don't shower in that timeframe?

I don't think any of my grand-parents went by their Christian names.
Preferred to use their middle names.

Brazilians? Rappers? Native Americans?

Anyway I'm sure it's a fine story.

People who wear coats in the summer heat. A day when everyone knows it's hot. Yet some dofus wears a jacket. Or some boxy slag has an actual coat on.

Makes me uncomfortable to think how hot and sweaty they are.

Passive-aggressive sales staff.

'I'm happy with my provider thanks'
'Ok, I was going to tell you how you could save 40 euros a month, but never mind. Bye'

People who don't thank you when you stop at a zebra crossing or even as much as acknowledge you. I know it's their right of way but thats beside the point. Common courtesy.

Rude c***s.

This is actually in my top three.

You can shower and they still work the next day.
