Having worked in Cologne and watched Berbatov for Leverkusen a lot, he was not only a prolific goalscorer, but set up a fair few. Again this was in a mid-table team. Be interested to see how if he'd thrive at United.

I've put forward the point that you comparing Adebayor, playing for a team like Arsenal, is incomparible with Berbatov who plays for Spurs.If you're going on goals scored.

RVN for instance - we played bland football at times with him

Drogba - a battering ram, effective the team set up around him is dross to watch

adebayor - not so much a target man, not the way arsenal play at least. fantastic player but unavailable to us

berbatove - touch, finesse and as proven on this thread despite wjhta you say he gets goals AND makes them. very much like eric i could see a lot going through him, runners playing off him etc which makes for fantastic football to watch
