Football Falls from Grace (football edition)

Sadio Berahino

Represented England at every youth level and looked shit hot at WBA for a while but took them refusing Spurs' advances REALLY badly.. resulting in a 2.5 year goal drought, signing for Stoke, relegation and numerous off-field issues including depression, drug and drink driving offences.

Recently captained Burundi to group stage elimination at the 2019 AfCON. Currently training with S.V. Zulte Waregem in Belgium whilst his Stoke contract gets terminated.

I know his ‘baby mama’ (). Absolutely vile career WAG who uses her sprog as a prop for social media likes. The type to dress a 2 year old in Gucci with captions like: ‘date night with the only man I need. xxx’.

They split up as Berahino couldn’t stop cheating on her. Feel for the kid given the utter monstrosities he’s got as parents.

Arguable. He done more in his career by the age of 20 than most footballers ever do. Unfortunate that he was from that era too as opposed to nowadays where there’s a more professional environment and less of a drinking culture.

Not really a fall from grace, but an odd one.....

Clive Mendonca, he of Charlton Athletic fame - played and scored in the premiership...

Now works for Nissan in their car factory...

Of course this used to be pretty normal, in the days before even people with no first team football earned ridiculous money.
