Talking 'Van Gaal is one of the worst coaches I've worked with'

https://www.goal.com/en-ae/news/van-...31n6k6inbv1u9l

"He wanted to show he could speak, but it was every day! All the time! You need to wait for everybody to finish their food to leave, which is fine, OK - but then we watched him talk, for 15 minutes, with all due respect, about $#*!. That is the truth, man. It was $#*!."

We're way overdue for another LVG interview about how United sacked him.

Seems bitter.

Where is he now, must be doing well for himself, he’s in his prime years right now.

“ Rafael, who is now on the books of Turkish champions Istanbul Basaksehir”

Oh. I see.

But LVG is a genius, who else would think to have Phil Jones taking corners; other than Stuart Pearce obviously

Falcao, Di Maria, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Darmian, Rojo. Jesus christ that recruitment list is probably the worst out of all the managers we've had post Fergie.

LVG was an absolute disaster, on a par with Mourinho. Speaks volumes that he retired straight after being binned, must have realised he was totally out of his depth. Fair play to Rafael for speaking out against his outdated methods.

Put himself forward for Netherland's managers gig a few weeks back, lost out to Frank De Boer

He said from the beginning that he was retiring after his time with us

Martial, Blind, Rashford, Depay, Romero, Shaw, Herrera. All decent bits of business imo.

Thought bunks would be first tbh...

Depay though? Wut? How was that decent business

Rashford wasn't business either.

I didn't really mind the big man all that much tbh but his football was turd.

Rashford is the business pal.

Got almost all of our fee back for Depay, and he’s gone on to be one of the best players in Europe. It was absolutely a signing we should have made, even if it didn’t work out for him here.

He was.

Can see why he’s resentful. He probably should have dug his heels in and stayed, his career may have panned out differently under Mourinho.

Not saying he wasn't worth a punt, but buying a player, having him turn in a fairly average bunch of performances, then selling him for less than you paid is hardly decent business
