Default Harry Redknapp and Mick McCarthy join Match of the Day

Quote:
The spectacular summer of sport continues on BBC One as Gary Lineker and Colin Murray bring fans the full weekend's round up of Premier League action.
They return with Match of the Day (Saturday, 22:30 BST) and Match of the Day 2 (Sunday, 22:25 BST) in its new BBC One slot.
After a busy summer, Gary returns to his familiar home on Saturday nights with some new additions to the punditry line up.
Popular members of the BBC's Euro 2012 team Harry Redknapp and Mick McCarthy will appear alongside familiar faces Alan Hansen and Alan Shearer throughout the season.
Former Tottenham manager Redknapp and ex-Wolves boss McCarthy will bring their considerable managerial expertise and experience to the country's most popular football programme.
On Sunday, Colin will continue to bring his irreverent style to proceedings as he looks back at the day's games alongside a mix of these four big names - plus special guest pundits.

mccarthy will be utterly shit.

redknapp will at least try and be serious.... even if he does come across as nothing more than a used car salesman who used to play sunday league...

mccarthy is from the same mould as strachan - thinks he's on a £#%&!ing panel comedy show and constantly tries to make funny one liners and generally act the @#%&!.

for that reason, i'm out.

yep, and there will be numerous references to him being a "hardman".

"you wouldn't have shied away from sticking your head in there to prevent that goal, would you, mick?"

"how do you think i ended up looking like this, gary?"

(cue rapturous laughter from everybody in the studio)

"you're not a proper centre half until you've broken your nose at least 3 times. they're too good looking to be centre halves these lot."

@#%&!.

mccarthy may not be the most insightful but he talks straight. He's a far better pundit than £#%&!ing shearer/hansen/lawrensen but then again so is a tin of £#%&!ing paint.

motd is a joke. 21st century dumbed down bullshit for the morons.

They should just start again from scratch with MOTD tbh. Shearer's having the insight of a £#%&!ing #@&%!le, Lawrenson sneering away as if he's doing you a favour watching the games and Hansen wallowing in his love of his own "witticisms". It's a £#%&!ing disgrace.

All this Mick McCarthy bashing is very hurtful. Very hurtful indeed.

'Honest' Mick, who surrendered a Premier League game against Utd?

Hope he does his MOTD analysis in this style
