"You see it more and more. Whenever celebrities become unstuck it's a big issue while there are people being killed in Syria and Afghanistan who are not worth a mention. "In no way was this intended as a dig at Muamba, why would it be? It was at the circus surrounding it."

excellent on both counts
Yep. £#%&! em. People are so desperate to be offended by everything. Ok, maybe a picture of the grief junkies laying flowers on an actual memorial () would have been better.

But this is a magazine that was recently confiscated by the police for absolutey no reason. Satire is not illegal, good for them for printing what the £#%&! they like.

that's the point. all this outrage over it ffs, what a load of shite. these same people will be happily watching the news showing explosions and so on in iraq/afghanistan/libya etc with commentary about whether our tactics are working or not, suddenly they get all precious about a picture of a guy who didn't die getting medical treatment. a different picture wouldn't have made the point half as well - the fact it called up even more outpourings of soap opera emotion shows how well it worked.

people don't like having their hypocrisy pointed out, especially when they're all busy clapping each other on their backs about what wonderful people they are.

That particular issue contained a number of allegations about GMP's behaviour in England and in Europe, some of which is illegal. I think that played just as much of a role as the Suarez KKK pistake in them deciding to 'ban' it. Shocking really :shakehead:

All these @#%&!s getting outraged at a picture of Muamba (who you can't actually see) on the front cover didn't watch the poor @#%&! have a cardiac arrest live on tv, did they? Or go and look for the footage online if they missed the original broadcast? No, of course not. Ghoulish, hypocritical @#%&!s

he sort of died for 77 minutes or something. and who knows if he'll ever make a full recovery. at the end of the day, the cover used pictures of the event itself to mock people's response. if that was your, or my son, out there, or a Utd player, on the front cover of a Liverpool fanzine, I think this place would be up in arms.

am not that bothered by it, but like Crumps said, they didn't need to use the matey's picture.

Oh ffs that picture was all over the £#%&!ing faux grieving press for days on end, that was a lot more offensive than this. Don't be so thin skinned.
