Prime of life, top flight athlete, gets a little fever and is told - leukemia. Can you even imagine how horrible that is? He would have been expecting a virus at worst.

Some of the questions McLeish got asked :shakehead:

"Will you speak to the players, and ask them to do it for Petrov" etc.

Using a illness as motivation.

Just read that when he first went to Celtic and couldn't speak much English, he worked in a friend's burger van after training to learn more quickly. Not typical footballer behavior and you have to admire that.

A footballer in a burger van after training? Sounds like Anderson to me...

First, pasty faced skirt wearer McFletch, then a refugee from the Congo and now a root vegetable eating former Communist.

As a red blooded Englishman with the legends of the Crusades coursing through my very being - proud and true, I ask thee one vital question? When oh when am I going to get to grieve for a sickly yeoman footballer of Albion, of this sceptred land, this Jerusalem, a stout midfielder (or preferably a Chelsea centre half), a carrier of water, broad of arm and strong of heart? Or er... not as the case may be.

Oh ffs. Cue more mawkish protracted grief contests and every £#%&!er exaggerating how good he is, when one week earlier they would've been screaming CUUUNT down his soon-to-be-infected ear hole as he has the audacity to take a corner. Ugh, I hate it. why does everything bad happen to me?......oh and good luck, Stylian. Hope you pull through.
