Default Salah

The Athletic claiming there's little chance of him signing a new Liverpool contract as he and the club are words apart with figures and its been months since they've spoken. Most interesting tidbit however is that he wants to stay in England.

City? Him and Haaland up front

Does Chelsea have the Abramovich spending power under its new owner? Could be a marquee signing for those thick pie eating Geordie @#%&!s mind.

Regardless, matches at the ready. SEETHING!

He’ll be in his 30’s by then. The roadrunner @#%&! has to start slowing down and picking up niggles soon, surely

This is going to happen more and more often. Particularly with big players. The days of being desperate for a contract and taking what you can get to protect your future are long gone. Even if you do run it down and are unfortunate enough to pick up a bad injury right at the end, someone will take you on and rehab you etc. plus you’re likely to be financially set anyway. Well worth the gamble/brinkmanship. Some daft @#%&! like PSG or Barca might make you a billionaire

Just seen he's actually 30 on June 15th. Thought he was 28 or so.

Dare I say a wise move by the phlegm garglers?

Spawny @#%&!s they are Kloop will sell him for €100m next month, fork out €15m for some Bundesliga nobody who'll bag them 30 goals a season for the next few years.

Let's hope his head drops.

Then other players get disillusioned with their owners taking a hardline on salary caps.

Then Ramos strides in and smashes Salah all about the gaff like the hulk did to Loki

They either give a 30 year old a massive contract or lose him for free. Fingers crossed it all goes badly for them.

He was briefly the best player in the world. Very briefly though.

They shouldn’t be breaking their wage bill for him. They’ve had his best uears and they’ll replace him. Same with Mane.

It’s unusual for them to be in this situation as they usually cash in at exactly the right time for their better players, or so it seems.

Signed a new contract.

3 years apparently…

350k a week apparently

Wage structure well and truly broken.

They claim "The deal still fits into the club's sustainable wage structure and is incentivised with scoring bonuses"

It's %@#$&!s, he has absolutely rinsed them. Mane leaving really played into his hands.

They love to pretend they're so pure but they spent £70m on a goalkeeper, £75m on a defender and now pay someone £350k a week.

"The day that this is football, I'm not in a job anymore, because the game is about playing together. Other clubs can go out and spend more money and collect top players. I want to do it differently. I would even do it differently if I could spend that money."

Indeed.

I’ve got a feeling this bites them on the arse a bit. If, as I suspect, he’s on the wane a bit, then 350k a week could soon start feeling like a bit of a drain if he does decline. And we all know the trouble with getting players on that kind of wage sold.

And surely past his peak from this point. They couldn’t afford to lose him and Mane though.

Hope Van Dijk and the rest come knocking on the door, causing Klopp
to have a stress-related episode where he signs a 15 year contract with Bayern Munich. Then the stadium falls down on Kenny Dalglish.

Panic move imo, shoulda kept Mane rather than him.

The way hes played since the african cup should alarm them.

Good news for us.

Yep smashed their wage structure for a 31 year old. The beginning of the end for Klopp.
