Probably help if he had a proper full back helping him. Just a thought

Aye. Would really help with him continuously losing the ball in one on ones.

Horrendous.

Made worse when he just stands there and doesn't chase after the ball he's just lost.

Should've taken him off the first time he pretended to be injured.

His awareness of what is going on around him and subsequent decision making is shocking at times. Imagine him playing with someone like Van Nistelrooy, he'd probably end up crying at the abuse he'd receive for continually choosing the wrong option

Some of his decision making would make Joey Deacon blush. It’s painful to watch. It’s got to the stage where there’s zero crowd excitement/expectation when he gets the ball.

Why is 25 goals a magical reference point? Eric put in one season above 20 goals all comps in his entire career - does that make him shit too? How about that Rashers got more goals in 2 of his last 4 league seasons than Giggs ever got at the club, and the third of those 4 seasons was pretty close to Giggs’ highest too? Or that Rooney only put in 2 seasons in the league where he scored higher than what Rashford has done numerous times?

That is the absolute definition of inconsistency with Rashford. It’s not an anomaly season when he’s put up numbers before from an outside forward position. But he is very much a confidence player, he scores in spurts, and under this manager the pressure to score has pretty much always been foisted onto him. New contract also makes life easy for him. But in the long list of problems he’s not near the top of the pile.

Sadly Rashford is absolutely nowhere near any of those as a footballer.

Agreed - also very different type of player - but given he and Bruno are the only two with any attacking pedigree (neither of whom the manager brought in), then the onus is on ETH to get the best out of them. People get so used to those two carrying the team that when they falter, the knives immediately come out while absolute non-scoring non entities in the squad are perceived as being able to “do a job”.

Actually that's probably what's most damning at the moment, that as poor as his recent displays have been there's no obvious alternative. Paucity of our attacking options is shocking.

Signed 2 midfielders in the summer when we needed attacking players more than anything.

Scoring goals can keep us competitive having a ball playing gk and a utility midfielder won’t though as we are seeing.

Maybe him banging this trans lady last summer has damaged him? Maybe she stole his very soul?
