It still doesn’t answer the question of why the money we have invested in players over the past five years -and we have- has been so badly wasted.

Of course it does, because their lack of structure has allowed 4 very different managers spend hundreds of millions of pounds on rebuilding the squad in less than 7 years with no clear idea or ‘philosophy’, It’s a complete mismatch that’s left us with an unbalanced and bloated squad (until Ole came in tbf).
We’ve still got senior scouts who were brought in by Moyes, Van Gaal and Mourinho still at the club and again that’s down to the board and it should be no surprise when we sign players that don’t actually fit the profile of what the club needs.
