In a battle of the number 10's, I thought pissed on McEachran tonight. His decision making in passing was superb, whenever he was on the ball he didn't waste it, looked calm and assured, and always ready to make a difference to the team. Appreciate it wasn't his most effective of games.

Neville was spot on when commenting on Poggers and Tunnicliffe, as he said they almost took it in turns to get a grip of the game. Poggers did the early groundwork, and more or less the whole of the 2nd half to Tunnicliffe

That's what impressed me about Tunnicliffe in the Academy last season. We were getting beat in a league game, and he grabbed it by the scruff off the neck, and drove the lads on, from 1-0 down to 2-1 up in injury time. The boy is gonna be a top class player. Very Keane / Gerrard like.

Nice of Keane to get a hattrick, will do his confidence the world of good, and will no doubt speed up his recovery from injury.

I don't think how much we murdered them has quite been emphasised enough. They were the holders, and aside from a goal on the break in the 2nd half of the 1st game, we battered them without response for 3 of the 4 halves of football, scoring twice in each of the 3.

Very impressive.

tbf, being holders doesnt mean too much in this tournament. Tend to be quite different sides from one year to the next. They're a decent side though. Thought Liverpool were better than them though.

Great news.

Particularly happy about the reports on Tunners. I'm very optimistic that Morrison and Pogba will certainly have a future in United's first team, but I wasn't so sure about Tunnicliffe, but great to hear he had such a good game today.

So we've beaten the greatest youngsters that Liverpool have ever had according to Thompson and the cup holders on our way to the final. Is this the future I see before me....?

Who've we got in the final, and is it at Wembley or a two-leg tie?

2nd leg at OT

In my experience, it seems that the 2nd leg of Youth Cup Finals that United are in is always at OT

Wonder why
