Depends how you read it tbh, sounds to me like he’s been told his move to United has nothing to do with whether we sign Antony or not, which it wouldn’t as Antony is a RW and Gakpo LW/ST.

That's what I was thinking, this deal isnt dependent on the other failing.

Hoping the price wouldn't be silly after PSV failed to reach the Champions League.

As you say he's a very different player to Antony. Looks more physical and robust than Rashford and Martial, and has the legs and energy that Ronaldo lacks now. I'm sure ten Hag will be pushing for both especially as he wants Ronaldo out. Now it depends on the owners.
