Changed my mind slightly. Despite what piss can Merson thinks, the two defensive signings will hopefully improve United. Bit of depth there too. Build from the back.
Would have liked at least one midfield signing as an injury to one will turn it to shite but hopeful that a youngster or two step up and take their chance. Fingers crossed that area is addressed next Summer (ha!). Hopeful that a dynamic, pacey, front three - playing on the front foot more often than not - will make for entertaining and enjoyable football. Looking forward to seeing what Gomes, Greenwood and Chong can do too. James as well. Keeping everything crossed for a decent start to the season to keep spirits up. Realise a lot of the above is 'hopeful' and that's quickly turned to despair in the past six years. |

"Everytime I see him he's on the floor making a slide tackle. That tells me he's out of position". That's because you've probably watched a highlights video of his epic slide tackles and not much else, and your coke addled brain can't comprehend that there's more to his game than that. "... And he's not any good going forward...". Said while a highlights package of Wan Bissaka pelting forward with the ball and assisting goals for Palace was being shown. The village idiot of the Sky punditry team, and that's saying something when Redknapp is included in that. Then they let Pinocchio loose with his opinions on Harry Maguire Can't £#%&!ing wait for today. I'm even feeling good about the prospect of a decent Pogba for the season. |
