He looks better than I expected but we need to change the way we play to get the best out of him. Obviously Rashford should have passed more but nobody else was able to get the ball to him in a position where he could hurt the opposition. He always got it with his back to goal. He'd did a great job of holding the ball up and passing it on to another player but he would rarely get it back after he made a move. Shame because his speed and power should cause big problems for just teams.

He'll struggle to get more than 15 goals this season with the appalling service he'll get from the rest of the side.

Good effort though.

hawkeye birds eye view would prove it was in, but that technology isn't available so var shouldn't have overruled. the freeze-frame provided was not from the perfect angle as seen when comparing the angle of the goal frame versus that of the goal line.

a dangerous precedent when they are aware they don't have the technology available to change these tight decisions with 100% certainty but still choose to do so.

It would probably be easier just to change the rule to what people think it is.

He looked dead after 60 minutes. He could barely stand by the time he went off. We need him fitter quickly.

It's huge for him that he got his goal. Hopefully he pushes on now.
