I dunno, they've made some pretty weird signings out of the Premier League in the past. Lassana Diarra. Emmanuel Adebayor. Thomas Gravesen

He's a top class striker, one of the best out there imo. You could put him in any side and he'd bag 20+ goals a season.

RVP is a type of player who will probably fade fast, he's 30, you rarely see top strikers keep their standards up on the other side of 30. The ones that do are usually the big bulldozer types.

Once RVP loses his edge, Chicha could be our first choice for the next 5 years.

If we sell Chica, we have to sign another top forward in a year or two and that'll cost £25m minimum.

If we sell Chicha before Rooney signs a new contract it will be an even bigger £#%&! up than the summer transfer window.

This one's been coming from miles off, I'm surprised it took so long tbh. Fergie kept banging this four striker drum, but '99 was an anomaly in that Ole was a unique individual and Sheringham was in the Autumn of his career and wanted some silverware and a last hoorah.

Chicha is in the unfortunate position of being good enough to start most anywhere, but not good enough to start the biggest games for us. Would have been perfect for us if he were prepared to be our impact sub, but the reality is that there's only one Solskjaer.

Strange that people seem to think he'd bang them in for fun at a top side, when he's currently unable to get into a top side by not being good enough.

Good player, not a great one.

I think what you've posted is pretty much the consensus, isn't it?

Although he has a great record in big domestic games. Always seems to score one at Anfield, has a great record against Chelsea etc. No real reason why he couldn't score plenty of goals anywhere. Dortmund will be in the market for a striker next summer.
