It’s completely the right decision. It looked a mistake in the first place and it was even clearer on the replay.

Jermaine, stop saying ‘minimal contact’ like it was some sort of coming together. VDB is running at full speed and his ankle is trodden on.

The only argument you could make is the subjective nature of ‘clear and obvious error’ and whether VAR should be stepping in, but that’s always the case and the right decision was clearly made.

Jenas even managed to tangle himself in knots by saying it is a penalty, while then trying to explain why it isn’t.

Decent performance given the starting 11

Lack a bit of presence up top but that’s to be expected given the front 4 we have out there

Great to be see Elanga get his first goal as he’s looked nervous but is getting into dangerous positions
Would like to see Amad turn it out a bit more, looks a little hesitant

Not sure what was controversial about that VAR pen, once it goes to VAR it’s obviously a pen

Absolute disgrace from Jenas. Wolves fans have been waiting for a VAR decision all game to moan about since Traore fell over on the box.

The argument about it not just being about contact that makes it a penalty was ridiculous when you see Van de Beeks leg actually move across off the contact ffs.

It was a clear penalty but the narrative will be that United got gifted a penalty.

That's what they do.

People believe it.

Silly #@&%! has to be the worst ‘pundit’ out there.

He still hasn’t explained what a ‘Glazership’ is.

It’s getting ridiculous again. It’s an open and shut case penalty. The only injustice is that it wasn’t given in the first place.

We can never just get a penalty. There has to be the inquest. We had that #@&%! Dean Smith going down the sanctimonious ‘the game has gone’ route the other week too on that Pogba one, which was another absolutely nailed on penalty.

It’s mad, the defender stretched out his leg to make sure he got him as a second movement after Beeky had gone past him they should all be slagging the defender for being stupid and praising VAR for actually positively affecting the game

What, the one where it’s a penalty if you foul someone in the box?

Still a way to go in this, but pleasantly surprised by how we’ve done. Played some decent stuff, with good intent.

James is shit isn’t he, bless him
