Rangers are indeed shite, but they will be up for it. Nqat.

Its just odd that the same set of people always round on one player. The fletch abuse has stopped, the berbatov abuse has stopped, the gibson abuse will no doubt carry on until its cool to start criticising someone else instead.

From the few games ive seen him in, hes usually got a good range of passing on him, scores some good efforts too. Dont see why people round on him so much.

and also playing him wide right where he looked worse but could learn without the pressure of playing in the middle. gibson was usually played in the same position in his first year in the first team squad and, like fletcher, has looked much more comfortable as he has begun to get games in the middle.

all joking aside, gibson's no world-beater, obviously. but he's already a good squad player who offers something a little different to the others we have (notably his shooting) and who won't let us down when he is called upon. and, of course, his game is still developing. 22 years old, he's well ahead of where fletcher was four years ago imo. sometimes the lack of patience of those who call for youth to be given more chances is astounding: if you play young players they will make mistakes and look bad at times, you have to accept that as part of their development, not write them off before they've made 20 appearances.

a game like this is ideal for gibson. don't know why that is even being debated. he is not really first team level. may well be in a few years. may well not be. personally I think he'll end up a richardson or the like. good player in an average team. but need to at least give him the opportunity.

just don't pair him with o'shea for £#%&!s sake (which I see to remember we once did with richardson in a european tie)
