There can’t be a single person who doesn’t think letting Jones go is a good idea…except Woody.

It does show that we've truly managed contracts by spreadsheet formula and people being worth more when they're in contract. It almost feels like Gill left Woody a guide to financial management in football and the chinless wonder has skipped two out of three chapters as he's flicked through it.

There have been worse players at Utd over the years but I genuinely can't think of any as completely %@#$&!ated as our Phil.

He's become more of a joke than Winston Bogarde.

what will happen is, whatever his new club pays him, we'll have to add the rest to get to his current wage of 100k a week. He has 3 years left

Yeah I see Phil Jones giving up 100k per week for the next two years no problem...

If he leaves we'll probably end up paying half of his new contract for the next 3 - 4 years.

Never a more appropriate adjective.

The second case of "£#%&! off Phil" we'll have encountered since Sir Alex retired.

If we’d have been prepared to let him leave on a free when his last contract was up we would have saved ourselves about fifteen million pounds

Why was he given a new contract just a matter of weeks after OGS arrived here? That one has never been explained properly has it.
