60 million for a 30 year old. Guess that’s where the FDJ money has gone .

Clowns murtough and Arnold have had their pants pulled down by Barca and de jong. Dragged on all summer only to sign Casemiro. No doubt on extortionate wages too, that is never a recipe for disaster.

Injured in his first 2 weeks? Turns out the be shit post 30? Current players not liking him? I wonder what’s first on the Manchester United bingo card.

If he comes I feel sorry for him. He will be expected to fix all the issues . He is a massive improvement but they’ll soon kick that out of him.

Who cares if he is 30? He is experienced and plays in a position we need to strengthen a lot.

Of course it could go the way of other players we've signed from top clubs when they're older but in terms of what we need it's a good signing on paper.

If we sign him that is.

We know how this Casemiro thing goes if he signs; arrives, 5-10 decent games, gets a knock and disappears for 4-6 weeks, comes back looking slightly different, struggles for form, picks up niggly injuries and is in and out of the team until the end of the season, never quite getting up to speed. Next summer Madrid add Bellingham to Valverde, Tchouameni, Kroos, Modric and Camavinga and make moves to offer us Kroos to replace the fat bastard Brazilian on £300k a week with 3 years left on his deal. We are Madrid’s golden handshake for their long serving players.

Varane is on 340k a week, so Casemiro will probably be 400k a week.

Oh and he's two years older than Varane was when we bought him. These idiots in charge

Because they won’t be able to shift him when he needs to. They’ll get two good season out of him if they’re lucky for 60 million. For that price there are other younger players who could properly play for 4-5 years minimum. It’s about setting long term goals. ‘Not papering over cracks and then realise in 2 years time we need another CM because the current one is 32 and on his last legs . By that time we need another CB RB LW and RW . It’s the United cycle.

He is a top player and would have been perfect as maybe the second CM they brought in the window.

He would be a very good signing if he was the 5th signing or so after 4 other young players sign.

So far we have signed two 30 years which won’t be able to hold first team spots in 2 season time. We end up with mata and matic situations

It’s £#%&!ing mental.

Hopefully the owners change really, really £#%&!ing soon, and these two don’t hang about as long as Mata and Matic. £#%&!ing sick of us being a retirement home.

There’s no way they’re gonna pay 60 million for this guy. That would basically pay for their 22 yr old Tchouameni signing in full

Looks like the final year would be an option, but United have become like the Real Madrid of old, buying players close to, or already on the wane.

Meanwhile it's Real buying the future superstars like Camavinga, Tchouameni, and Valverde.

Yep. That’s exactly what we’re going to do.

We need 5-8 players to build for the future, so we’re going to drop damn near all our budget on a 30 year old Madrid have already replaced with young talent.

He's at least a £50m player in today's market so not particularly arsed about the cost.
