This. Love the guy. But better for everyone. He doesn’t deserve to spend the last couple of years of an incredible career having cameras cut to him on the bench every time there’s a thrown in for the opposition.

Don’t feel too differently about it this am.

He wanted out in the summer, he’s been absolute garbage when he’s played, he’s on the highest wages at the club, he sulks like a child when he’s not given the ball - so much so that our players constantly look for him even when he’s not on, and then he behaves like an 8 year old, disrupting the dressing room, indirectly belittles Elanga and threatens the improving confidence leaving tenners no choice but to have to discipline him.

Thanks for the mid 2000’s Ronnie. Now £#%&! off.

Its over let him go and stink out another club worthy of HIM . Thanks for the amazing memories and engineering one and trying to engineer 2 moves away from the club .

No way ETH stands for this, or the 'group' he's building. Ronnie needs to realise a few things and come to his senses, otherwise he is set to become an absolute nothing player, which would be a really sad end to career in the place where it all began.

Short memories or not, he's behaving like a child. A child that gets half a million a week

What he did today was terrible. As Pure says, picture another player doing that. Pogba. Bruno. Rashford. They'd be crucified. And we should give Ronaldo a pass because why?

if he's not happy then he should be encouraged to leave. Our best performances this season haven't included him. We simply play better when he's not in the team.

It was petty, shouldn't have done it, needs a %@#$&!ing from the bosch and let him go in January.

But call off the Fred firing squad ffs

Not really. You can recognise what he’s done, but still think it’s time to go.

No room for too much sentiment in football I'm afraid. Thank for the memories, but it's time to go. The club's moving on and finally getting things together, and the last thing we need is a disruptive £#%&!er throwing a spanner in the works because he thinks he should play every game at 37 years old.
ETH deserves a lot of credit, a lot of managers would be terrified of him.

Shape up or ship out, should be the same rule for everyone at utd. On a side note, I'd be worried about his effects on the squad given his stature and would be inclined to deal with him ruthlessly.....

This.

He’ll still have his moments and contribute, but it’s becoming clear we are a better team when he doesn’t start. If he was happy to be a bit part player, then cool. But he isn’t. There’s a real team spirit developing and we can’t have the Ronaldo side show spoiling it. Most of the time, it’s not his fault. He can’t help the media talking about him whenever he’s not picked, or cameras cutting to him whenever we concede a corner. He brought it on himself last night though. He knows what he’s doing and that there will be focus on him leaving early. It’s not a big deal and it takes nothing away from the win, but it’s completely unnecessary and unhelpful.

Agree on ETH too. Suspect it massively helps not having Woodward around

It's sad that it's ending like this for him. But his ego was always going to be an impediment to him accepting a new, less pivotal role in the squad. Must be hard when everyone tells you that you're the goat and next minute you can't get a game.

It doesn't, no club is paying him half a mill a week. He should be throwing all in for utd this season and retiring as one of the world's greatest with class and dignity.....

He can £#%&! off with what he did last night. He's 37 ffs.

It's great that he wants to play and isn't happy when he doesn't get the chance.

What's not great is stropping off like a child.

He's supposedly worth half a billion, offer him the opportunity to buy out his contract, peanuts to him, if not give him a nice soft cushion and blanket.
