This.

Any decent brief will be able to convince a court that end of the football season is a sporting question rather than a calendar date. Even taking it to court would hammer Barca's reputation amongst players and for what? To continue paying him millions a year to sulk out the fag end of his career?

There was a drop this year, he still had a great season by most standards but not his own, he was dogshit against Bayern. End of the day he's 33, and he's been playing league football since he was 16, there's a lot of tread off the tyres, all at the same club, maybe a new club inspires him for on last hurrah or maybe it's paying out fortunes for a guy who's got nothing left to prove and is about to hit a cliff edge. he just isn't the physical freak Ronaldo is.

Maybe this is why we didn't pay over the odds for Sancho...

Will end up at City...

Got City written all over it, unfortunately.

Re-uniting with Pep and the 'interesting project' of £500k a week.

He wont go anywhere else in spain and I don't think he'll do the big Chinese pay day yet.

Where else could afford him? Juve?

Messi leaving barcelona would be an absolute shocker....this could be the beginning of the decline of that club b/c financially they don't have the money due to stupid purchases like Dembele and Coutinho for 100m plus...

he's 33. he'll want to be challenging and winning stuff straight away. We're not going to sell him the dream of playing for us for several years whilst we sort our £#%&!ing act out and He's on 600k a week after £#%&!ing tax ffs.

It's got PSG written all over it.

Oh yeah, forgot about PSG.

Them or City. Nowhere else can afford him and he wont just disappear into the night.

I wouldn't rule out Inter, the tax laws in Italy mean that in real terms they pay far less. Could even offset it by selling Martinez to Barca which has been rumoured for months. As has Inter being in for Messi.

Plus being a free agent means they can fork out a massive salary if there’s no transfer fee.

PSG or inter.

He won't go to City. He knows he'll get kicked to £#%&! every game in the PL.
At PSG he's only really gotta try hard for the CL games.

The one thing that might save him from going to City is that although it makes perfect sense from a sporting and financial sense, after living in Barcelona for 20 years I really can’t see Messi wanting to move to the north of England
