In general though, teams get in behind us very easily, & we are mostly static in attack, devoid of any incisiveness or speed. The manner in which we continually pass it sideways is reminiscent of the last few seasons.

We've conceding six in nine, but much of that has been down to poor finishing from the opposition or exceptional goalkeeping from De Gea. That isn't reassuring at all.

I agree that injuries make it difficult to judge. There are some recurring issues though. The continual switching between these two systems is frustrating, Fellaini playing ahead of Herrera is an abomination, & it's miserable from a footballing point of view to see a United attack so static & immobile.

LVG got rid of Nani & Kagawa, two players who could have added some incisiveness to our play. Mata stayed & has been anonymous in too many games. Nani especially would be willing to take on players & carry the ball, something that we lack badly, especially with Di Maria & Janujaz' loss of form.
I don't disagree on Mata but he's had some good games too, and how many players are consistently outstanding? Certainly not Nani.

Think a lot of individual criticism is unfounded. We're looking for scapegoats and just need to be more patient.

Siders is right that we were too gung ho and Van Gaal reacted. A bit staid at times and we've rode our luck on occasion but results have improved. Can't ask for better management than that.

Always felt that Evans raised his foot to protect himself as much as anything when Drgba went barging into him. Of course, the big tart went into his Punch and Judy routine. Just looking at that clip looks like the ref is about to tell him to stop being a girl. Looks like a £#%&!ing toddler having a tantrum

The correct decision, tbh - though he should have been booked; presumably he has escaped sanction totally now?
