Have we made room for the "we're just analysing the bid" stage though? Because then we go to "this is how many instalments we'd like to pay in" stage, then to "preparing a bid" to finally "send a raven" with a bid strapped to its leg stage. And that's before Ajax tell us that £15m wasn't what we'd discussed.

Seems odd that the club is tight for cash but signing another attacking centre mid when we have Bruno and Pogba here already. Is Poggers off?

Poggers doesn't play attacking midfield though, and van der Beek can play anywhere in the midfield. He's just a very good player.

If either Pogba or Bruno aren’t playing then you either go with the less attacking option of Fred and The Scottish Player or it’s pick your poison option of Lingard and Pereira

Pogba isn’t a 10 any way so we needed a good quality backup / rotation option for Bruno

He’ll get plenty of starts but initially I don’t think he gets in our best 11
However it was clear at the end of last season that we needed a much better squad and he’s a step in the right direction regarding that

He’s basically a far more intelligent and cheaper option than Grealish

Fitting them in and playing to their strengths would be a challenge, but on paper, Bruno, Pogba and him is a £#%&!ing talented midfield

Would be a great signing. Probably won't happen because United will want to pay about £12m for him.
