Honestly don't think id push the button on that deal. Need to see if he repeats this season next year.

How much for Lewandowski, Suarez, Aguero?
They've just bought a 16 year old for £40m or so. They just don't want anyone else having them.

He'll get lots of game time with the idea of eventually replacing Benzema in the long term

Absurd money for someone who's only had one great season in the French league (as well as doing really well in the CL knockout rounds tbf)
No guarantees he develops into the top player everyone thinks he will
After his first season everyone thought Martial was a future balon d'or winner but one bad season and some think we should get rid

Unquestionably the next superstar in world football, the Pogba fee already looks a spec in the rear view mirror as well. Football is a nonsense.

I'd pay the fee to get him, it's like buying the Brazilian Ronaldo at 18 ffs.

This.

We'd get £250m for him by the time he's 25.

It's not really

There's no guarantee he's going to be the next Ronaldo or anything like it

We've seen players have one great break through season but never following it up

Madrid can take the risk because they all ready have a great team but we can't

I think we could take the risk, but I agree with you in general. Especially when you look at how Monaco play, which is a very unsophisticated, direct style of football which is all on the quick transitions. They get it to him quickly. Be interesting to see how he adapts to Kroos, Isco and Modric pissing around with it for half an hour and Ronaldo being the main man for service.

Obviously would love him at United, but that fee is just beyond absurd.

I'm sure that 117m will be euros, probably with all kinds of clauses. But it doesn't really matter to Madrid does it. If he turns to shit they'll just cast him on the scrapheap and sign the next great hope for €150m

It shouldn't matter to us either should it? We have more money than them.

Can smell an awful transfer window for United. It's been a woeful start.

Remember when £45 million for Zidane was considered obscene?

Or £3.75 million for Roy Keane?

The prices in football are inflating quicker than a post retirement Wazzoh.
