Pardew them good.
That team will do.

I think tonight is the night everything gets back to normal, comfortable win, all nerves gone and everybody back to assuming we will win it.

Surely he has to be in the side to play Arsenal next week, given his form and history in games against them. So that probably means he will be rested either tonight or Saturday. I'd probably go with Scholesy tonight and save Anderson for the next two games.

van Der Sar
Rafael
Evra
Rio
Vidic
Carrick
Scholes
Giggs
Ronaldo
Rooney
Berbatov

You have to wonder if it was a smart idea playing him on Sunday. That 120 minutes hardly seems worth it.

i just can't see pompey getting anything out of this match. the need to rebound after the disappointment of the fa cup exit on sunday coupled with the skaus result last night should be more than enought to drive us on to 2-0 at least.

Post of the day !

As Woody Allen once remarked : '80 % of success is just turning up'

( to the game, that is, not Masterfred 2 )

Viva United : 3-0 ( Rooney,Scholes ,Berbs ) !

Partytown has stuck up some team news on RI Main, no Rio tonight or Saturday.

As said by one or two on here that back of his is a problem and Fergie/Rio are no doubt managing it - and obviously keeping him fit enough for the Arsenal games. Quite clear he's not 100%, didn't even go over the half way line in the last two games.

Will soon see.

A chelsea win tonight puts them one point behind Rafa's lot on the same games. If they win by 3 goals they'll have the same goal diff as them.

I would love to see Chelsea finish second behind us....

I don't care what the team is, who plays where or how we play.

Just win. Just £#%&!ing win.

Agreed of course.

....But it would be nice to see a few tiny green shoots of hope in terms of a return to form.
It would be nice to win a game by more than one goal. To look assured & confident against an inferior side.
To make goal scoring look easy again rather than a laboured chore.

And finally for the sake of my sanity & nervous system it'd be nice to see a good performance & a comfortable lead going into the closing stages.
It's long overdue in fairness.

if true that rio is out i'd play oshea alongside vidic rather than evans, think that jonny evans is a fine young player but i fear for his confidence atm, rafael at right back.
