Got exactly what we deserved from this game. Players mentally ramped up too just defend & had no idea what too do when we had the ball, Matic the only player who had the coolness to put his foot on it & play a simple pass. Lukaku didn't have a great day but the flak he is getting on here is ridiculous.Poor defending from him for both goals. The chance he had he did the right thing & hit the target, pure luck that Ederson got in the way of it. Had he blasted it over the bar then the criticism of that chance would be warranted
Not sure if Zlatan actually moved in the 15 minutes he was on. Shit performance all round, Mourinho to blame, he set us up to play like some Sunday league team . City are streets ahead of us

Arguably the most disappointing aspect of today is that it wasn't really a surprise in terms of performance or the result.

It's NOT a £#%&!ing binary choice you stupid @#%&!s (Lee £#%&!ing Dixon, I'm looking at you).
It can be a foul. It can be a dive. Or it can be a fair challenge that ends up with a player on the floor.

£#%&!ing #@&%!s.
Jesus did exactly the same thing in the first half

That @#%&! Oliver just played on...

That's a worry, that even these shit house referees are believing the City hype that they're a master class side and do no wrong. Need someone to show them up and get them rattled soon

We'll look back on today as chance to be the ones to have done it.

After 5 minutes you sensed we were getting beaten - Rojo lumping it aimlessly forward, letting city’s players have yards of space .. as much as it goes against the grains one team tried to win it, one team tried to win play football one team had a plan , one team looked well coached and one team looks like it has improved - sadly it wasn’t us

Yes we were, both in execution at critical moments and, more depressingly, mentality. We were weak and scared and didn’t even start playing until the fear of facing the manager/support after a loss suddenly outweighed our fear of City.

the lack of service he has been getting from midfield and the wings has been shocking the last 2 months, started off like a house on fire, but as soon as the service dried up then so did he, should be doing more, but it has a lot to do with the way we have been playing the last couple of months, the first half today all he had was hoofs up the field to work off, a centre forward should not be back defending in his own box from set pieces, stick up top and they have to keep some defenders back to mark him. he was very unlucky with that chance at the end , hit the target and 99 times our of a 100 its a goal, but the the £#%&!er in goal has a massive head, I never expected us to win the league this season, but a top 3 finish and a good run in Europe and a cup would be progress, but we are in deseperate need of more quality all over the pitch...

Spot on.

There was a chance United could have beaten them, but the way we play and the fact our best outfield player was missing, the player we rely on to link defence and attack, it was never going to happen.

They won because they were sharper, more focused and clinical at key moments which is what the best teams do.

Moments came our way but unfortunately fell to players who aren't up to it.

At least 4 out of that starting 11 won't be at the club in 18 months time.

United's approach was shameful. Those long, aimless punts up to that f***ing overpriced donkey up front.

We have a few excellent players, but it's just a shame they don't get to play much football. Without Pogba we play consistent shit-on-a-stick rubbish, too. A year and a half into Mourinho's reign now, and it's nowhere near good enough at all, especially given the vast amount of money spent.
Guardiola has spent a lot of money and improved City.

Mourinho has spent a lot of money and we still rely on percentage football in big games. We still have the same core of non footballers making up the majority of our side.

there is some truth in this. he has had shit service. the way jo mo sets up the team doesn't help him. we don't have a midfield that can defend or attack. nevertheless, lukaku should have £#%&!ing scored.

£#%&!ing #@&%!s.

This.

City were better than us today, but scored two scabby goals and a wonder save/luck kept out an equaliser. Debatable pen imo. Small margins but there was a Pogba sized hole in the midfield and if he plays, it's a different game. Tbh, we were disgraceful at pressing, not winning the second ball and standing off them.

Best team won, they've got the best squad but so they should bombing £400m a window. What is said without bitterness or envy or £#%&! all though is that they are cynical as £#%&! in these games and get away with absolute murder. The dives, the fake injuries, the time wasting etc. If that's Jose, it's highlighted. Not a word will be mentioned by any journo, only United fans.

January can't come soon enough, seriously need some steel. Lukaku is feeding off £#%&! all, especially with no Pogba but he was gash today.

5 months into the season and City show no signs of stopping, one single injury to the entire squad, no suspensions, their players all look full of confidence..

If anyone thinks they're going to mess up so badly as to allow any other team to over take them, then they must believe in miracles.

A big concern is that best one fell to our brand new striker, who will be here in 18 months.

And it wasn't a surprise he fluffed it.
