There is absolutely no foundation to this story. Expect the same story to be recycled on a few more websites and by next week it will
be nailed on.

It was, but the coverage was crap. Two games a week on Bravo till they stopped their coverage and Setanta showed a few live games when they could be bothered.

There are other ways to watch football, you know.

Erm have you been travelling to Genoa at weekends or do you actually take time to watch Sampdoria games on the internet?

Why do people keep bringing up Defoe/Owen/Saviola as possible strikers. We need a genuine alternative for Saha,a quick powerful forward who can hold the ball up and occupy the defence.

Midgets like the 3 I mentioned would not be that helpful to the team. Could score goals but overall we would be less effective.

We do not need a 30 goal striker, we need a quality front man who will be unselfish and realize that the most important part of the team is The Rooney/Ronaldo/Giggs/Andersen/Nani support players.

Believe it or not, I actually enjoy watching Serie A (and on occasion last season, even Serie B). Have done for years. Don't tell anyone!

Dunno mate, and you can add this Quagliarella fella to the list too.

Midgets and deep lying/2nd strikers need not apply this summer.

Finding that kind of a player will be almost impossible.A 30 goal striker is always going to be a bit selfish.
