Fair point.... but the fickle nature of the game itself showed for me. I switched on about 3 mins into the game to see us facing 11 men behind the ball and expected Burnley all over again. We looked ponderous with no real penetration until Poggers' breakthrough. They had no plan B. Some days they go in and some days they don't. I don't think we played any better than vs Burnley but that day was a bit of a freak and had Poggers pulled that one out against them, early doors, there'd have been not much concern over the following days. We will still struggle in games but approach play is much better, if not the finishing. For me, the diff is largely the finishing, oh, and the defending but as Bunks rightly said, six months and one transfer window in... Jose will sort it. Hope he's in for the long haul. G2c widespread support. |
