Well that's settled then. I can't think of any good reason why we would even bother looking for a top class full back when he's got such stunning credentials. Give him a 400k a week deal and sign him up for 10 years.

Maybe if Shaw was dangled the carrot () and told he'll be given a extended run of starts then that will be the kick up the backside he needs. Not everyone responds to having every aspect monitored from body language to actual performance. It's £#%&!ing football at the end of the day, not the army. Sometimes you have to back talent to prosper.

24 games is a lot for a third choice. Huge if true.

Why not? It's not like Shaw and TFM are duds and it's not like full back is a glamorous position. Easy to rub noses at the lack of gravitas but state some alternatives and we'll see how much gravitas they have.
