the players will be buoyed by the vermin dropping points last night and will go out rested and full of confidence. the last two games (not counting the kiddies at the weekend, though their performance was also a fillip) there have been signs of the real united standing up; tonight we'll blow those bell-ringing £#%&!ers away.
I thought you were a realist.

i'd love for us to be a couple of goals up by half time. a comfortable win, like the fulham (h) game is just what we need. we could really do with scholesy putting in a performance like he did that night.

i can see evans and nani playing tonight. think the xi will be...

vds
neville
evra
evans
vidic
fletcher
scholes
ronaldo
nani
rooney
berbatov

1-0 united, shit nerve-wracking game. berbatov to score the winner.

I'd have no confidence in any team being a few goals up with Nani and Neville in the same side.

Finding it really difficult with United at the moment.

Since sacking it last year, I keep trying to tell myself that 'I'm not that bothered anymore' whilst secretly I'm more fragile then ever before.

Some of the time.

Not having Sky and not really watching them because of that really doesn't £#%&!ing help.

'Watching' on teletext or listening on the Radio is just a Grade a nightmare. When I do get to watch a game, like on Sunday, I have this really strange thing where after going out on pens, I felt like bursting into tears in front of the kids. Not because we had lost but because I couldn't take the losing out on anybody.

£#%&! knows what I'll be like tonight if we £#%&! up.

and if we don't win the league from here then we don't deserve to.

and i thuink its time folk stopped thinking we're going to go out and blow teams away. we don't play like that anymore. as some journo mentioned last night, we won't win the league because we're the best attacking team - we clearly aren't this season. if we win it we'll win it because we've been the best defensively

Rumour on RI has it that Rio is out tonight and Saturday. Partytown, the same guy who had the Porto team hours before the game. I think Whalefish said he's a mate of Rooney's who owns a gym the players use.

£#%&!s sake!!!!!

I know Evans had done exceptionally well all things considered, but Rio is a different proposition & after the team that was put out Sunday it's a £#%&!ing nightmare to lose him again if that info is right. %@#$&!s!!!!

We ought to beat Portsmouth (and Spurs) without Rio tbh.

You'd think, but it's the stability he brings as per last two matches - compared to the borderline shambles we had in the Porto home & Villa matches.
