You're right, this totally unrelated game and result exonerates United from their appalling Champions league campaign.

Maybe if we write UEFA a letter explaining that this result proves United aren't a bunch of leaderless, sackless tossers, they'll let us back in.

The tie I'll be hoping for in the QF draw is Bayern - City but if not Bayern - Barcelona would be alright, surely Bayern with all their great players can make a better go of it than last time.

If Madrid get Barca/Bayern/PSG they're out. Worst level since 2010 and no longer a team to be feared.

wow. So you want to complain to UEFA because United weren't good enough that's some sense of entitlement right there

It exonerates nothing, it proves what I was saying about not just expecting to walk that 'piss easy' group
