If Schmeichel can be forgiven for his ballooning, Ince should be too imo.
Who's forgiven him ?

Ince was better than keane nowhere near Robsons level. Irrelevant as he's a beadle handed wonky eyed #@&%!.

Robson - Ince

Ince - Keane

Keane - Scholes

We had the best midfield pairings in British football between 1989 and 2002 imo.

If Ince was to be introduced to the OT crowd at HT he'd be jeered, Schmeichel would be given a round of applause.

Hate to say this, but I agree with Pure here.

Ince was superb, but didn't have what Keane had. No way.

The circumstances, IMO.

Schmeichel did that when the team he then played for had just beaten their biggest rivals - yes it was @#%&!ish and everything but it was arguably more an expression of joy at city winning than us losing. Whereas with Ince, it was ALL about getting revenge on us. A draw meant nothing to Liverpool - then stuck in mid-table - but he thought he had stopped us winning anything.

Absolutely unforgivable.

I wouldn't have Ince down as world class, great player nonetheless.

Different type of player. Ince was genuine box-to-box, raw aggression and lung bursting runs - would lose the ball and track 60 yards to win it back.

Keane began his career in that vein, but after joining United (due in part to Ince already fulfilling that role), became an orthodox holding midfielder. Nothing too fancy, just breaking up play and owning the middle third of the pitch. If you take away his dozen or so red cards , Keane was actually very controlled and disciplined - a proper captain.

Robson was all of the above and more.

Don't be a dick. Schmeichel's cartwheel was after they went 1-0 up for a start.

Ince was no doubt bent on revenge of some sort, but he'd been ridiculed by Ferguson and the United fans for the preceding 6 months. After 6 years stellar service, I think most people would be tempted to react in a similar manner.

'Unforgivable' ffs. Grow up.
