Maybe... I don't know. Thought we were the better team for 70 minutes. But that means bugger all if you concede an easy goal and then collapse.

For 70 minutes that could've been any United team from the past 2 decades away from home. Imo difference if there's no belief that they should and could win the game. Maybe rightly so if we are actually as bad as we look at times. And as soon as we concede then we look even more vulnerable instead of more threatening.

The goalposts have moved from nobody could be successful to nobody could do better.

Give him a 5 year contract etc

Rashford - 5 goals in last 28 league appearances
Antony - 1 goals instead 36 league appearances
Hojlund - 0 in 14 league appearances
Garnacho - 4 in 35 last 35 league appearances

Brutal.

Elanga has 4 in 19 this season

It’s odd because apparently getting a new keeper was going to resolve all that.

A new keeper was going to revolutionise the way we played. A keeper that would create attacks given that Dave was holding us back so massively.

There are no excuses for missing this. Should be slotted in the corner no trouble and we’d almost certainly have gone on to win..

Can’t really blame the manager when players can’t score the easiest of chances.

You can if it’s happening game after game and he keeps sticking with it. He has two options, either coach them to do better or try something else; at the moment he’s doing neither. I absolutely hate to admit it, and am in no way excusing the mardy little @#%&!, but if you’re a wide right player like Sancho and Antony keeps getting picked ahead of you week after week, what would you think? It feels like blind hope that tH doesn’t want to admit to a 82m clanger.

You can blame the manager when a team continually fails to create good opprtunities though. We are 11th for expected goals. In away games, we are 15th.

A lot of that falls on the inability of the manager and coaching team to get this team to function as an attacking unit.

Not sure you could say almost certainly when it was in the first half Zorg

Totally agree. And I am blaming him for the team not creating good opportunities.

But when opportunities do arrive, and they don’t take them - which is what’s happening - that’s on them. A chance like that should be absolutely no problem.

Possibly overstated

Just that West Ham were awful, and imo wouldn’t have been capable of coming back.

West Ham were absolutely shit. Played mid week and looked dead. We didn’t lay a single glove on them. We’re pathetic. Pathetic players and a pathetic manager.

No, but when you’re creating so little in games that any presentable chance must be taken, then there’s a problem with how you’re playing. We create one, maybe two good chances per game. It simply isn’t enough. The players know this too and they’re going to tighten up when those chances come.

We’re also putting a lot of pressure on young players. 20 year old Garnacho must score or we lose the game. 20 year old Hojlund must score last week or we don’t win the game. We’re pinning our hopes on an 18 year old with 3 league starts to hold the midfield together.

This is no way to live.
