I am relatively relaxed going into the new season but this has been the worst window post Ferguson. Abysmal in fact. How Woodward gets around without a random red giving him shit is beyond me. The @#%&! needs flooring.

It’s already better than last year’s; Dalot, Fred and Grant versus Wan Bisaka and James

I'm amazed anyone expected anything else.

A team that struggled to score goals is selling its top scorer and have replaced him with a winger from Swansea.

At least Darcie Glazer got a new loan.

Nope. Half a new defence - new way of playing -more changes to come. Fellaini and Valencia gone Lukaku has got his passport out.

No new striker, no established midfielder

Disruptive Pogba staying. Let’s not pretend Ole was picked because of any other reason than he will not kick up a fuss at the shit Woodward is pulling.

The club feeding the media keeping the fans compliant then delivering very little. So frustrating.

I reckon Wolves and Everton have a good chance of finishing above us next season too..

what has he added that is going to stop the players turning to shit again?

Is Maguire the character we need to put some steel into this side?

It obviously could have been worse but it should have been far better.

Defence is sorted as good as we could have expected. Bissaka looks the business and I'm sure Maguire will settle in quickly.

Not too concerned about goals. Greenwood will no doubt take Lukaku's place as the backup striker. Rashford and Martial should have enough to get us a top 4 spot.

Midfield is clearly the problem. We're pinning a lot of hopes on The Scottish Player very quickly becoming a world class midfielder. It's a huge gamble. At times he looks brilliant but often the game escapes him. Matic can't be allowed anywhere near the first team. So is a midfield 3 of Pogba, The Scottish Player and Fred good enough? There's still big question marks over Fred, he should have been replaced this summer.

The biggest issue is still the fact we have a squad bloated with losers. A leaner squad always reaps benefits if you can keep them fit. Young, Lukaku, Sanchez, Matic, Rojo, Jones, Bailly etc.. all needed to be shifted. There's little chance of that happening but at least there's a couple of weeks left.

What you're seeing is the inevitable result of our continual under achievement.

It's not like it was in the summer of 2014 when Van Gaal took over and the Moyes season was seen as a blip.

We're now seen as a team in terminal decline. The headlines around the club since Fergie left have been constantly negative, 5 managers in 6 years and yo-yo'ing from 7th to 2nd and back to 6th again. We have become the very epitome of instability and chaos.

Why would anyone be surprised that no top players want to join that?

Wage bill is clearly a major issue and we just haven't been able to shift enough of the deadwood because they aren't willing to drop their wage demands (and why should they?).
