That break at the end is what we'd played the whole game for. Then The Scottish Player puts in a shocking ball and then the ball goes wide left to fred who tamely kicks it out of play.

Very very poor.

£#%&!
Draws ok but is ok really good enough
Look so poor going forward in these big league games

Too many players who just aren’t good enough on the ball
I’m sorry but we’re going nowhere special with Fred and The Scottish Player in midfield....both so poor and sloppy on the ball

Fernandes hasn’t been good in these big league games and if he isn’t good then neither are we

Still not the worst result in the world but lost opportunity

Would be funny if we finally beat one of the "big" sides in the league at city, wouldn't it?

General performance level was ok and we’ve got the foundation in big games of defending well. Other games we’ve sat back, but we were on the front foot for a lot of today, but our decision making and execution at key stages must improve.

We’ve missed big chances at Anfield and that break at the end should have been a goal, simple as. We need to improve that, because for all our defensive issues, we’ve kept clean sheets against Chelsea twice, City and Liverpool now.

Our forwards need to do more. Bruno and Rashford, our two biggest attacking players, didn’t do enough and haven’t done in the big games for the most part.

To have gained a point on Leicester is a pretty good return.

It is dissapointing but on paper its a decent point.

There is still work to be done as you can see with games like today. Pogba needs replacing when they sell him because we desperately need his type of midfielder in there.

Suppose it was one of them today too, with the week ahead they knew losing would pile the pressure on.

Reflects even worse on them given position in the table and them needing to overhaul us. Plus defensively we're not all that when you attack us so they probably would have won with more ambition.

But Tuchel has been in the job for 2 months. Ole's been here 2 years. It's poor man. We should focus on ourselves. This kind of mentality is why we've become a club happy to just finish top 4 and potless.

But that's shrewd tactical sophistication, isn't it?

Not the same as our out of their depth, only retaining the job because of misguided sentimentality, PE teacher.

You do realise it means the other team drew 0-0 with us to?

Clean sheet away against one of the “big 6” while also playing a high press is pretty good going for a team that can’t defend

If only our forwards turned up.

I think Tronics point is that we have 5 of them. Dunno how many 0-0s the other sides have this season in big games. It's a pattern with us.

Think cavani was a big miss too. They created one clear cut chance which resulted in a save. Which says a lot about our defensive performance. Being pogba and cavani and a fully fit The Scottish Player and it may have been different.

Not to forget the handball that wasn’t given because the ref has no backbone .

Amazing really, given that we are so shit and with a totally clueless manager.

we were playing against a side who outspent everyone in european football.

I would love...absolutely LOVE to see some of these philso£#%&! managers get higher than 2nd in the league with that array of forwards at their disposal.

We aren't going to challenge for anything with that group of forwards, they're not good enough. Serious investment is needed in the summer.

Yeah. That’s says we’re not too far away to me. It’s giving us a platform and if we are a bit cuter in terms of when we push, our decision making and our ruthlessness, then it’s the ‘perfect away performance’.

These games feel like microcosm of where we are in our development. Getting there, but not quite there.

Enjoyed that. Defence was good chances good pint for top 4 and they don’t make ground on us and go Liverpool next
