Antony and Onana aren’t playing well, but neither is anyone else. And yes, he was involved in selecting them, and he will ultimately be judged on how they perform, but I want to see how they bed into a side that is settled before deciding if they’re terrible or not.

How much evidence do you need that Antony is not good enough ?

He’s played quite well at times this season. If he’s not good enough, then neither are Rashford, Bruno and Hojlund. And garnacho too, if you exclude his overhead kick. We are terrible everywhere at the minute.

Based on their levels of performance this season. It’s not weird at all.

Lads, it’s the season of goodwill. Let’s compromise and say none of them are good enough but that Bruno and Rashford are light years ahead of some clearasil deficient clown who wouldn’t stand out in the championship.

Well it is given you didn’t say this season. But it’s a frankly ridiculous statement. Antony has done nothing at United to suggest he’s anywhere near the level of Bruno or the level that Rashford can achieve.

Antony is a bang average footballer who we’d struggle to get £10m if we sold him. The other two would be in the £100m bracket.

I actually included the words ‘this season’ in the sentence, not sure how I could make it any clearer.

Think you’re a bit off with the valuations. Anyway, I haven’t said Antony is a worldbeater, just that I’m reserving judgment on him (and a couple of others) until the team settles down and gets back to near a full first team again.

Amad is 100 times the player. Sancho is about 10 times better.

Sancho upsets me a lot because I backed that guy when he came here and his attitude has been disgraceful. All the potential and none of the good sense to fulfil it.
