Dont think AVB hada fair crack at Chelsea or Spurs but the dippers would be suicide.

Villas-Boas is a decent manager. They wanted him before they went for Rodgers iirc.

If Falcao ever signed for them it'd be because he's finished.

How is Andy Carroll not a better option than lambert or Balotelli?

Not like someone associated with Liverpool to shift the blame.

He's looking in all these directions for ways to improve it and the real reason still eludes him: That Luis Suarez elevated them to a position far beyond where the rest of their squad merited. He was the instigator for all their fast attacking football and now he's gone. He scored goals out of nothing, creating goals for others out of nothing and now there is nobody in their squad even half as good as him.

it doesn't elude him. He knows full well. He's just covering for himself and his mediocre signings..

spent half of last season banging on like his master plan was coming together. ....now he says they're in transition. how convenient Brendan.

Over achieved last season. went right under the radar. no such luck this year. they'll finish 5-8th. that's their level.

Rodgers: "We have had must-win games in the time I've been here and won them"

I can think of one

Still beggars belief that they played their nearest rivals City 4 games from the end and won, yet didn't win the title
