Nani was on the up for a while, too. Anderson, whatever people want to say, was a major talent.

Very few players have developed well over the last few years. Do we not take some responsibility for that?
Anderson was a over hyped talent at a very young age like so many before him . Add to that a total disregard for fitness (on top of being a complete unprofessional), I am not sure how united can be blamed here.

Nani I feel was a mistake by fergie. If he had shown a bit more faith, maybe he would have developed more. But as we have seen this season and for portugal, even when managers put a lot of trust in him, he rarely delivers and all too frequently lets them down.

For me fergie could have done a lot more with the likes of rossi and pique. He put his trust in wrong players (evans and welbeck :shakehead

Another non-entity display from the walking mirage today.

On current form, he's a decent squad option for Capital One Cup games, nothing more.

Don't be mean to him personally.

He's not united class but it's not his fault ffs.

If he wasn't trying then fair enough but it's low to attack the kid for playing when asked to do so.

Would normally agree with you, but he deserves all the abuse for creating a website to push his brand before he'd barely kicked a ball for us. Another example of the over-indulged, overpaid and overrated modern-day English footballer.

The thing is, if he was a member of the Class of '92 he might have made it, as he's a talented player. However, the Ferraris and TOWIE girlfriends seemingly took priority for him, and have rendered his progress on the pitch a horrendous failure.

Looked like an under-15's player surrounded by actual real men like Sandro and Dembele. Runs around a lot but he's not even worth nuisance value. I wish Fletcher would come back.

This - he had acquired the nickname "The Brand" after a handful of first team appearances for us, FFS :shakehead:

It's nice that we still try to give homegrowns a shot, but a shot is all they deserve. Welbeck and Cleverley have had theirs. Next.

Welbeck has been far more promising than Cleverley.

His goalscoring record is poor, but he has a lot of excellent attributes.

He's quality on the flank of a front three, and I think he'll become a top player for us for many years to come.

Thought Welbeck done okay at times today

Far better than Kagawa and Heather Mills on the right.
