The banner is a major problem, even if it stays seeing stewards protect it is not great.

Chosen wrong could be edited surely?

Winning, losing, whatever it should be enough.

Won't be though. Nothing works to flush this malodorous grogan out.

re: Tufty and his banner. He's basically responsible for keeping moyes in his job, getting that banner removed would be a serious gesture and step in the direction of sacking moyes.

that little freak is keeping moyes in just to serve his little #@&%!y ego

What's the story behind the signature 'Golazo!' yell and why did it sound so much like 'go Lazio'?

For years I told people it was golazo - which means what an amazing goal. But then I heard Steve De Berry who'd produced the music for the show say he'd wanted it to sound like 'go Lazio' because of Paul Gascoigne presenting it and so had added a twist to the soundbite. It became the signature sound of Italian football for a generation of English fans. It also took me more than a season to realise why the show was called 'Gazzetta', and it was again because of Gazza.

Nah, I think Jimbo's talking bollox there tbh

It's clearly a recording of "Golaço!" said by Jose Altafini when he was a commentator. Sounds nothing like Gol Lazio.

I suspect what happened is that the original editor thought that's what was being said and since tried to bullshit his way out of it

Makes sense, C4 probably only bothered to pay for the rights because of Gazza.

Shame there's nothing like it any more. Used to love seeing Richardson sat in some cafe reading through the local papers. It was well ahead of its time and made anything that Sky/BBC/ITV were doing at the time look pre-historic.

I blame Tufty for its demise.

It was quality tbf. Richardson is criminally underused as a presenter as well. Him and Dominik Diamond.

"The biggest title challenge since Danny Shittu tried to write his autobiography."

"This week, we've got the best top-of-the-table action since 'The Postman Always Rings Twice'."
