It's a good example no? They had more reasons to fire him in the first 3 years than ETH in this one, but they gave him a chance and is now a title challenger for 2 years already and they will be for many more years with this squad

It's a shame for Moyes that Arteta wasn't the Arsenal manager when he was in the job. He could've had a couple of Champions Leagues under his belt by now.
Not even arsed about Southgate coming in at this point. Actually think it could be a good move with the caveat that it's a short term deal over a year, maybe two. Get some of the more problematic players enjoying playing football again while the shit show of a squad is sorted over a couple of windows and a longer term managerial option can be properly sourced. Still think that's less mental than wanting ETH to stay on for another season. |
