This Southgate thing seems to be getting more heat. Please God, no.

Yes, this is down to complaining about Erik on here. Nothing to do with Erik’s United finishing with the worst points total for eons and the most home matches we’ve ever lost in decades.

It's a good example no? They had more reasons to fire him in the first 3 years than ETH in this one, but they gave him a chance and is now a title challenger for 2 years already and they will be for many more years with this squad

What do you mean by 'repetitive'?

I think it's a valid comparison.

Its going to be Southgate if we get rid of Tenners, so I’m back to IN!

It’s an example that doesn’t fit outers narrative though so invalid

A bit like most defeats for decades - decades that are irrelevant now if
Fergies harder years were involved

Prob before most outers were born though tbf

How long other managers, at other clubs, in other times, and under completely different circumstances got is utterly irrelevant - unless you’re also suggesting Moyes should have gotten more time as well.

Didn’t you lot run Sexton out of town despite good results?

It's a shame for Moyes that Arteta wasn't the Arsenal manager when he was in the job. He could've had a couple of Champions Leagues under his belt by now.

Not even arsed about Southgate coming in at this point. Actually think it could be a good move with the caveat that it's a short term deal over a year, maybe two. Get some of the more problematic players enjoying playing football again while the shit show of a squad is sorted over a couple of windows and a longer term managerial option can be properly sourced.

Still think that's less mental than wanting ETH to stay on for another season.
