Does he train with the first squad, or is he banished to the stables?

Why didn't they just pay him off?

Phil walking home from Old Trafford with a £13m cheque in his pocket?

Be gone before you can say 'wizened old man' and 'magic beans'.

Still clinging onto a starting 11 number.

Probably for the best. With that much dosh, I’d give him a week until he’s found dead in a hotel room, face down in a sticky puddle of ice cream and Lego.

He’ll finish his contract and then turn in to a worldie at a new club.

I don’t think he’ll play again tbh. Quiet retirement in the summer.

All a bit odd

Last time he turned out was ok. MOM?

Was a bit emotional when he came off. Must have some issues upstairs.

Nine managers

Agree with retirement. He'll just fade into obscurity and try flogging books in a few years time.

Pressure, depression, injuries? A very odd situation. Strikes me as the kind of person that will have seen fun being made of him and it's broken his spirit. Bob Mortimer bits are funny tbh.
