The balls on the kid. Love him already. Character coming back into the team with him and Martinez.

What's the odds that Shaw is comfort eating currently?

He’s a proper good player him. And love how he’s not shy %@#$&!ing players for errors .. something the other left back only does to macdonalds employees when his drive through is wrong

When Shaw was being proclaimed as the best left back in the world, there was some kid playing for Feyenoord who was better

The left side of our defence has gone from our major weakness to arguably our biggest strength.

50/50. If he’s awake, he’s eating.

Excellent today a real live wire. Tackles like a demon but reads the game well

Mustn't have heard of Evra, Carlos, marcelo, Cole. All giants.

Shaw has his work cut out, that's certainly true. And of course, hard work is what he excels at

What I liked today was he was in a tough head to head match up and at times struggled, but he showed a lot of character and determination and came back stronger.

He’ll get better and better.

Only really got it wrong 2 or 3 times and basically snuffed Saka out in the end. I didn’t realise how quick Saka is though, he left him for dead early on.

Thought Martinelli caused Dalot far more problems, but he got to grips eventually and came out on top too.

2 good individual battles that we eventually won, really good to see

He won't get a harder game than that for a while. Saka is bang in form at the moment and gave him a real test.

But the lad never went hiding, never shirked and battled despite the fact he's so slight by comparison.

Yep, not great today but stuck to his guns and wore Saka down by the end of it. He'll cherish the bruise.
